Celebrations in Honor of Maria Santissima Avvocata Nostra

From August 23 to September 7, 2025, Vicovaro celebrated its patronal feast with a rich religious and secular program. The opening, on Saturday, August 23, featured a performance by the Gioacchino Rossini band, the opening of food stalls, and a Vasco Rossi tribute by the band «Liberi Liberi», following the translation of the miraculous image and a solemn mass. In the following evenings, the square hosted the show «I Figli delle Stelle», salsa lessons, a live performance by Demo Morselli and Marcello Cirillo (August 30), a concert by Gianpiero Marino (August 31), the pizzica and taranta of Enrico Capuano (September 5), and the «90 Mania» evening preceded by the Medullia Majorettes parade (September 6), in addition to karaoke, folk dances, and a five-a-side football tournament. Sunday, September 7, marked the grand finale: a parade for the fallen, a solemn mass presided over by Monsignor Domenico Cauteruccio, Vicar General of the Diocese of Tivoli, with the Santa Cecilia choir, a solemn procession through the town streets, a fireworks display, and the charity lottery drawing.
