Celebration of Saint Anthony the Abbot

The 2025 Celebration of Saint Anthony the Abbot took place in Castel di Ieri, in the province of L'Aquila, on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at the village's parish church. The rite of the blessing of fire and animals was presided over by Father Rubens, in the spirit of a rural tradition deeply felt by the community of the Subequana Valley. At the end of the service, the Pro Loco "La Torre" offered a convivial moment with sausages, ranati, and mulled wine, warming up the cold January evening and renewing the bond between the town's inhabitants and their patronal feast.
