Cavallaro Ancient Village Festival

The Cavallaro Ancient Village Festival returned in 2025 to enliven the Arab village of Gaggi, in the province of Messina, with its usual September appointment. The event, organized by the Associazione Amici del Borgo, offered its most beloved formula for an entire weekend.

• Typical gastronomy: maccarruni cu ferru, cannoli, crispeddi, and other traditional Sicilian specialties
• Made-in-Sicily crafts: stalls with local products and creations
• Music and folklore: Sixties and Eighties tracks and performances by folk groups
• Giant final cake made by guest chefs, the highlight of the festival

In 2025, the free parking at the sports field and the shuttle service to the village were also available, with free admission for everyone.

Event formula

The festival was spread over three days, with evening opening of food and craft stalls along the village alleys.
