Cavalcata dei Magi between Pelago and Pontassieve

The 2025 edition marked the debut of the Cavalcata dei Magi between Pontassieve and Pelago. The re-enactment, scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2025, at 2:30 PM, featured the Three Wise Men in sumptuous attire on horseback, accompanied by over one hundred participants, equestrian groups, and flag-wavers, traveling from Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II in Pontassieve to Piazza Verdi in San Francesco di Pelago.

In front of the church, the offering of gifts to the Baby Jesus took place, followed by a blessing and speeches by local authorities, with traditional songs from the Corale Renzo Mazzoni. Gifts and sweets were reserved for children, in a day of celebration that established the beginning of a new tradition for the Valdisieve.
