Cautano in Poetry 2025: «Light and Shadows»

The fifth edition of the festival was held on August 10 and 11, 2025, in Piazza Simonetta Lamberti, a space that subsequently became the permanent venue for the event. The theme «Light and Shadows» guided the two evenings as an exploration of the boundary between the ideal and the real and the contradictions of community life.

On August 10, at 9:00 PM, the festival opened with a meeting dedicated to Antonio Franchini, winner of the Campiello Prize, and with contributions from Giuseppina Borghese and Ernesto Razzano, accompanied by a jazz and blues musical performance. On August 11, at 9:00 PM, the evening was dedicated to Ilaria Palomba and the ceremony for the Simonetta Lamberti National Prize, now in its fourth national edition, with the jury chaired by Angela Procaccini; the «Antonia Rapuano» Young Poet Prize was awarded to Clelia Carusi for «Luce nera» (Black Light).

Alongside the readings, the square hosted works by the Eccellenze Sannite collective, led by sculptor and painter Alfredo Verdile. The organization was managed by the municipal administration of Cautano with the Youth Forum and the Casa Naima bookstore, under the artistic direction of Michele Piramide.
