Catania Pride

Catania Pride 2025 was held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, and marked a historic milestone: the twenty-fifth anniversary of the event, which began as a parade in 2000. A true human tide of thousands of people animated the center of Catania in a joyful but strongly political parade.

The parade started from Piazza Cavour in the late afternoon and concluded at Piazza Università, with several stops dedicated to political speeches. The manifesto for this edition addressed themes such as anti-fascism, transfeminism, solidarity, and anti-capitalist critique. In the preceding days, from June 30 to July 4, the Pride Village, hosted at the CGIL Labor Chamber, offered workshops, debates, meetings, and concerts, confirming the spirit of the event: "Pride is not just one day, it's all year round."
