Catania Off Fringe Festival

2025 Edition

The fourth edition of the Catania Off Fringe Festival, held from October 16th to 26th, 2025, confirmed the growth of the event. The program featured 67 shows with approximately 272 performances, scheduled from Thursday to Sunday in 14 performance spaces distributed between the historic center of Catania, the surrounding neighborhoods, and nearby towns, reaching as far as Mascalucia and the slopes of Mount Etna.

Companies arrived from all over Italy and from partner countries of the world's major Fringe festivals, including Avignon, Prague, Stockholm, Reykjavik, and New Delhi, with a program that ranged from contemporary theater to dance, circus, comedy, and family shows. The Village Off at the Le Ciminiere Exhibition Center served as the central hub, hosting exhibitions, meetings, and discussions between artists and international festival directors. The direction of Francesca Vitale and Renato Lombardo reaffirmed the festival's commitment to theatrical decentralization and urban regeneration, in a welcoming and convivial atmosphere.
