FIC Festival 2025: the sixth edition
The sixth edition of Catania Contemporanea / FIC Festival was held from April 29 to May 11, 2025, offering ten days of art with 25 events and over 150 artists. Promoted by Scenario Pubblico and curated by Roberto Zappalà, the festival confirmed its vocation for the pervasive diffusion of art, with contemporary dance at the center of the program.
The inauguration in Piazza Dante
The opening, on April 29 for International Dance Day, took place in Piazza Dante with «Aspettando il Fuji», a site-specific performance by the Compagnia Zappalà Danza that anticipated the new creation «Brother to Brother: from Etna to Fuji».
Festival spaces
Events involved numerous locations in the city: Scenario Pubblico, Teatro Massimo Bellini, Teatro Sangiorgi, CUT, Fondazione Brodbeck, and Isola Catania, concluding on May 11 at Palazzo Biscari. An edition that reaffirmed Catania's role as a hub for contemporary creation in Sicily.
