Edition 2025 — Catalani Prize
Fifth edition 2025
The 5th edition of the Catalani International Prize was held from February 15 to 21, 2025, at the Spazio Macos Art Gallery in Messina, Via Cardines 16, in the historic center. The inauguration, featuring a vernissage and final award ceremony, took place on Saturday, February 15, at 4:30 PM; the exhibition remained open until February 21, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Curated by Mamy Costa, the edition saw high-quality participation, presenting 61 finalist works compiled into a printed catalog and a video catalog: 30 works exhibited physically and 31 virtually. The competition categories included painting, sculpture, photography, and digital art.
The event was realized in collaboration with A.P.A.T. (Landscape, Environment, and Territory Association), A.M.A. (Messina Beekeepers Association), and A.N.V.O.L.T. (National Association of Volunteers Fighting Against Cancer), confirming the prize's strong roots in the cultural and social fabric of Messina.
