Castrum Fontanae 2025

The December 2025 appointment with Castrum Fontanae was held in Piazza Santo Stefano, in the medieval village of Fontana Liri Superiore, in the province of Frosinone. Local reports noted a day with particularly favorable weather, with mild temperatures that contributed to a large public turnout.

At the heart of the event was polenta cooked in copper cauldrons and served with pork ribs, along with other traditional Ciociarian specialties. As every year, the nativity scene exhibition was set up in the historic center, guiding visitors along the village alleys. The square was enlivened by stornellatori, described by the organizers as talented and entertaining, with their repertoire of improvised folk songs.
