Castroreale Mystery Festival

6th edition 2025: between literature, memory, and innovation

The sixth edition of the Castroreale Mystery Festival was held from May 22 to 24, 2025, at the SS. Salvatore Auditorium, starting at 5:30 PM. Under the artistic direction of writer and journalist Cristina Marra, the edition renewed its format by intertwining crime fiction with memory, art, and music.

The festival opened with a tribute to Emilio Isgrò and concluded with a homage to Andrea Camilleri, accompanied by an exhibition-event curated by Carmelo Pace, who was later awarded. Guest authors included Vins Gallico, Federico Lo Schiavo, Marco Steiner, and Roberto Mandracchia. Each evening closed with a performance, from the docufilm on Isgrò to the presentation of Marco Steiner's graphic novel dedicated to Corto Maltese, and the theatrical show Amuri by the storyteller Alosha.
