Castroreale Jazz Festival 2025 — 25th Edition

The 2025 edition, which celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Castroreale Jazz Festival, was held from July 27th to August 3rd, 2025 in Piazza Sandro Pertini, in Castroreale (province of Messina). The festival was inaugurated on Sunday, July 27th, by New York pianist Rachel Z with her trio (Omar Hakim on drums and Jonathan Toscano on double bass). On July 31st, it was the turn of the Conturband, a fourteen-piece ensemble blending street jazz and infectious rhythms, preceded by a talk show on "Time, Sounds, and Territory: Genius Loci" and a cooking show with chef Tindaro Ricciardo.

The program continued on August 1st with the Giambruno 4ET featuring Nicolas Folmer, on August 2nd with the duo Francesco Cafiso & Mauro Schiavone, and concluded on August 3rd with the Fabrizio Bosso Quartet. All concerts, with free admission and starting at 9:00 PM, confirmed the festival as a benchmark for quality jazz in Sicily, within the "Borghi e Monti d'aMare Festival" project.
