Edition 2025 — Medieval Festival

The 2025 edition of the Castiglione di Garfagnana Medieval Festival took place on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3. Two days of re-enactment featuring a historical pageant, the Palio del Leone, taverns in the alleys, juggling shows, and a closing fireworks display, with the fortified Garfagnana village transformed into a medieval settlement.

2025 Medieval Festival

The 2025 edition was held on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3 in the village of Castiglione di Garfagnana, in the province of Lucca.

Saturday kicked off at 7:00 PM with the opening of the taverns and entertainment by jesters and musicians, followed by the historical pageant and the Palio del Leone; the evening concluded around 11:30 PM with a juggling show. Sunday featured lunch at the Osteria dei Briganti, the grand historical pageant at 4:30 PM with the solemn oath of allegiance to the Republic of Lucca, the reopening of the taverns at 7:00 PM, and the final fireworks display scheduled for 11:00 PM.
