CastelCello – Cello Festival

CastelCello 2025

From July 2 to 7, 2025, the cello festival returned to the castles of Tirolo, in the province of Bolzano, with a highly appealing program curated by artistic director Francesco Dillon.

The festival opened on July 2 at the Brunnenburg with Ayanna Witter-Johnson, an artist capable of blending classical music with jazz, reggae, hip-hop, and R&B sounds. On July 4, at Castel Tirolo, cellist Harriet Krijgh, one of the most promising young talents, performed in a duo with pianist Nino Gvetadze. The grand finale, on July 7 at Castel Tirolo, was entrusted to the famous Giovanni Sollima in a solo recital. The week was completed by the cello masterclass with the final concert by the participants.

Concerts in the castles had an entrance fee of 30 € (reduced 20 €), while the masterclass concert was free of charge.
