Castelbuono Jazz Festival

The 28th edition of the Castelbuono Jazz Festival was held in Castelbuono (Palermo) from July 30 to August 21, 2025, under the usual artistic direction of Angelo Butera. The program, divided into eight events, was dedicated to two symbolic figures of Italian culture: the writer Andrea Camilleri and the singer-songwriter Pino Daniele.

The festival kicked off on July 30 with an evocative concert for the environment in the Madonie Park, marked by the debut of the JFP Madonie Orchestra, a group composed of 22 Sicilian musicians. Among the top guests of the edition were the American Joe Lovano (August 19), Fabrizio Bosso with "Il cielo è pieno di stelle," a tribute to Pino Daniele (August 16), Francesco Bearzatti with "Viva De Andrè" (August 17), and Stefano Di Battista with the project "La dolce vita" (August 20). The closing on August 21 featured Fabrizio Bosso once again, joined by Julian Oliver Mazzariello. Alongside the concerts, a conference dedicated to Camilleri and a masterclass dedicated to Pino Daniele completed the program.
