Edition 2025 — Giro di Castelbuono

The 99th Castelbuono International Road Race, held on July 26, 2025, made history: Yeman Crippa (Fiamme Oro Padova) won in 34'16 over the 11.273 km distance, bringing victory back to Italy after thirty-six years. A hard-fought race until the final lap, decided on the Mario Levante climb in front of a massive crowd in the heart of the Madonie village.

The 99th edition of the Castelbuono International Road Race, run on July 26, 2025, on the day of Saint Anne, provided a memorable finale. Yeman Crippa (Fiamme Oro Padova) triumphed with a time of 34'16, bringing the Italian flag back to the top of the roll of honor thirty-six years after the last Italian victory, signed by Salvatore Bettiol in 1989.

The race, held on the town circuit of the historic center for a distance of 11.273 km, was decided in the final stages: on the penultimate lap, Crippa overtook the Briton Emile Cairess, then pulled away definitively on the Mario Levante climb. Behind them, the Norwegian Sondre Moen finished third, ahead of the Australian Jack Rayner and the Italian Alessandro Giacobazzi. As is tradition, thousands of spectators enlivened Castelbuono, in the province of Palermo, for one of the most heartfelt nights of sport in Sicily.

Highlights

The historic victory of Yeman Crippa, the first Italian to win after 36 years, ahead of Emile Cairess and Sondre Moen.
