Edition 2025 — Castel Belasi

In 2025, Castel Belasi hosted "Come ghiaccio / As Ice," the third and final chapter of the water trilogy curated by Stefano Cagol, from May 10 to October 26. Fourteen international artists of different generations reflected on fragility and disappearance, during the International Year of Glacier Preservation. The season also included the exhibitions "Raccolti e Racconti" on biodiversity and "Dall'Antropocene al Biocene," as well as the selection of art glass "Fragile."

As Ice: fragility on display

The 2025 season at Castel Belasi, in Campodenno, centered on the exhibition "Come ghiaccio / As Ice", open from May 10 to October 26, 2025, and curated by Stefano Cagol. As the third act of a trilogy dedicated to the element of water – following Like Rain (2023) and Like Islands (2024) – the exhibition brought together fourteen international artists on themes such as the melting of glaciers, fragility, and disappearance, on the occasion of the International Year of Glacier Preservation.

Among the works, the video Last Riot by the AES+F collective, A futura memoria by Laura Pugno, and Apa by Almagul Menlibayeva. The season, produced with the MUSE of Trento, also included the botanical exhibition Raccolti e Racconti, the project room Dall'Antropocene al Biocene featuring nine artists under 35, and, from July 4, the selection of glass sculptures Fragile. A Selection of Glasstress.
