Edition 2025 — Castagnata di Lillianes
In 2025, the Castagnata di Lillianes renewed the oldest tradition of the Aosta Valley dedicated to the chestnut. With the competition-exhibition, the awarding of the golden marrone, Holy Mass, and the folk group, the village celebrated its chestnut excellence at the foot of Monte Rosa.
The 2025 edition of the Castagnata di Lillianes confirmed the village's role as the chestnut capital of the Aosta Valley. The Pro Loco presented the usual competition-exhibition, with local producers displaying their finest fruits and the jury tasked with awarding prizes, including the prestigious golden marrone. Sunday, the highlight day, featured Holy Mass, performances by the folk group, and the sharing of chestnut-based dishes, in an atmosphere of celebration and community. There was also space for solidarity with initiatives dedicated to children. An event that each autumn attracts enthusiasts and curious visitors to the municipality of Lillianes, in the province of Aosta.
