Casmene Fest 2025: the third edition

The third edition of Casmene Fest was held in Comiso (Ragusa) from 11 to 21 September 2025, preceded by a preview on 7 September with a performance by the band Limarra. The artistic direction was curated by Alessandro Nobile.

The programme wove together singer-songwriter music, theatre, cinema, literature, and workshops for children, enlivening the symbolic locations of the historic centre. Musical guests included Avion Travel, Simona Molinari, Maria Mazzotta, the singer-songwriter Alessio Bondi, and Gianmarco Carroccia, with a tribute to the repertoire of Battisti and Mogol. On 11 September, the opening featured "Le novelle di Verga" performed by students from the Liceo Carducci and the presentation of the book "I vivi e i morti" by Francesco Pulejo.

An important novelty of the year was the 4e33 Award, dedicated to the memory of Fabio Alfè and designed to promote new Italian singer-songwriter music: the winner, awarded 500 euros, performed on 19 September as the opening act for one of the main concerts. Event venues included Piazzetta Pietro Palazzo, the churchyard of the Maria SS. Annunziata church, the Cathedral of Santa Maria delle Stelle, the Civic Museum of Natural History, the courtyard of the Fulvio Stanganelli library, the Roman Baths, and the courtyard of the Bufalino Foundation.
