Edition 2025 — Carvèr 'd Dunà
The 2025 edition of the Carvèr 'd Dunà took place between March 7 and 15, enlivening Donato and the Elvo Valley with musical evenings, the children's carnival, the historical torchlight procession, the distribution of polenta concia and fagiolata, the historical parade with musical groups and floats, and the nocturnal ritual of the burning of the scarlo.
The Carvèr 'd Dunà 2025, organized by the Pro Loco Donato, confirmed the vitality of the historical carnival of the Elvo Valley, in the province of Biella.
Program 2025
- Friday, March 7 — Opening musical evening.
- Saturday, March 8 — Children's carnival in the afternoon, historical torchlight procession, and dance evening.
- Sunday, March 9 — At 11:30 AM, distribution of polenta concia and fagiolata; at 2:00 PM, parade of the historical carnival with musical groups, masks, and floats.
- Monday, March 10 — Egg collection, the "disnè dal lunes" (Monday lunch), and at midnight, the burning of the scarlo, an ancient ritual marking the end of the carnival and the beginning of Lent.
- Saturday, March 15 — Closing dinner.
