Cartoons on the Bay 2025
The 29th edition of Cartoons on the Bay was held in Pescara from May 29 to June 1, 2025, for the fourth consecutive year in the Adriatic capital. The central theme of the edition was artificial intelligence and its impact on animation and creativity.
The festival, promoted by Rai and Rai Com, brought together over eighty guests at the Aurum and Piazza della Rinascita. The Career Awards were presented to illustrator Quentin Blake and director Rob Minkoff; other winners included Noah Falstein and projects such as The Angry Birds x Legends (Transmedia Award) and Mattel's Barbie (Diversity Award). Popular guests expected in the city also included Lillo and Greg. An edition that confirmed Pescara as an international reference point for animation and the Abruzzo Region as a host territory for the event.
