Edition 2025 — Carnival of the Ancient Ruins

The first edition of the Carnival of the Ancient Ruins took place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, in Urbisaglia and was a great success, despite the threatening clouds and a few drops of rain. The village streets transformed into an open-air stage enlivened by eighteen masked groups from Urbisaglia, Colmurano, Loro Piceno, Ripe San Ginesio, and Petriolo, with music from the band The Rhumska Lions in Piazza Garibaldi.

The first edition of the Carnival of the Ancient Ruins debuted on Sunday, March 2, 2025, offering Urbisaglia a "triumph of colors and joy." Eighteen masked groups from Urbisaglia, Colmurano, Loro Piceno, Ripe San Ginesio, and Petriolo paraded with original choreography and meticulously detailed costumes, enlivening the streets of the historic center. In Piazza Garibaldi, the engaging music of the band The Rhumska Lions accompanied the celebration, which even withstood the rain. The event, supported by the Municipality with Mayor Riccardo Natalini and Civil Protection, saw Tiziano Scagnoli and Rudy Calvigioni among the protagonists, in the presence of the mayors of neighboring municipalities.
