Carnival of Sommacampagna and Caselle

In 2025, the Carnival of Sommacampagna celebrated a symbolic milestone with the 30th Messer Gidino, elected on February 9, in the person of Tomas Forante. On Saturday, February 15, the grand afternoon parade crossed the center of the main town, starting from Via del Commercio and ending in Piazza della Repubblica, while in the evening, the night parade enlivened the hamlet of Caselle, starting between Via degli Alpini and Via Scuole and ending near the parish church. The festival concluded on Sunday, February 23, with the Festa delle Mascherine at Centro Noi, dedicated to children with the show by the magician Giuppy and a snack at the Youth Center. The organization was handled by the local charity committee with the patronage of the Municipality of Sommacampagna.
