Edition 2025 โ€” Carnevalata

The 2025 edition marked the debut of the Carnevalata, the neighborhood Carnival born from the Pietralata Educational Community with the collaboration of Municipio IV of Rome Capitale. A first outing built with the associations, schools, and families of the district, which established the formula later repeated in subsequent years: masked parade through the public housing blocks, music, games for children, and a final party in the neighborhood's public space, with completely free admission.

The first Carnevalata of Pietralata

In 2025, the Pietralata neighborhood, in Municipio IV of Rome, saw the birth of its Carnevalata: a Carnival celebration entirely self-produced by the local area, promoted by the Pietralata Educational Community as part of the district's animation activities and realized with the support of the Municipality.

The underlying idea was to give back to children and families a free street party, made of masks, drums, and public spaces experienced together, in a Roman suburb where social spaces are a precious asset. The success of this first edition convinced the organizers to give continuity to the initiative, which returned the following year with the second edition, confirming the Carnevalata as a fixed appointment in the neighborhood calendar and as a piece of the widespread Carnival in the municipalities of Rome and the Lazio region.
