Edition 2025 — Carmagnola Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Carmagnola Carnival took place on Wednesday, February 26, and Tuesday, March 4. The festival opened with the traditional investiture of Re Peperone and the Bela Povronera at the Salone degli Antichi Bastioni, attended by over 300 costumed participants from various Italian towns, and concluded with the exhibition of allegorical floats in Piazza IV Martiri on Shrove Tuesday.

The Carmagnola Carnival 2025, organized by the Pro Loco Carmagnola APS and the municipality, kicked off on Wednesday, February 26, at 9:00 PM at the Salone degli Antichi Bastioni with the traditional investiture ceremony of Re Peperone and the Bela Povronera, played by Lorenzo Piana and Karin Borga. During the evening, the Mayor symbolically handed the keys of the city to the historic masks, in the presence of over 300 costumed participants associated with the A.M.I. and the Center for the Coordination of Italian Masks.

On Tuesday, March 4 (Shrove Tuesday), starting at 3:00 PM in Piazza IV Martiri, an exhibition of allegorical floats created by local carnival associations was set up, including groups from Piobesi Torinese, Racconigi, and Nichelino. There was no shortage of moments dedicated to children, with the Pro Loco's Nutella Party and the free distribution of hot chocolate and mulled wine.
