Edition 2025 — Carl Orff Music Festival

The 19th edition of the Carl Orff Music Festival took place in Putignano from August 29 to September 7, 2025. Organized by the Associazione Artistico-Musicale Carl Orff under the artistic direction of Vito Amatulli, the festival featured a rich program of concerts at Piazza Teatro, the Town Hall Cloister, and the Teatro Giovanni Laterza, featuring international soloists, an international section, and the award dedicated to young Apulian talent.

The nineteenth edition of the Carl Orff Music Festival was held in Putignano from August 29 to September 7, 2025. The festival opened on Friday, August 29, at 9:00 PM in Piazza Teatro with a free open-air concert dedicated to Camille Saint-Saëns' "The Carnival of the Animals", enriched by the choreography of the EleinaD Dance Company.

On August 31, in the Town Hall Cloister, the Sextet Quartet performed, having been awarded the "L'arte nelle tue mani" prize dedicated to young Apulian musicians. The festival continued with the international section evening on September 4 and concluded on Sunday, September 7, at the Teatro Giovanni Laterza, with a program that combined Antonín Dvořák's Piano Trio No. 4 "Dumky" Op. 90 and Carl Maria von Weber's Clarinet Quintet Op. 34.

Program 19th Edition 2025

  • August 29, 9:00 PM — Piazza Teatro: Inaugural free concert "The Carnival of the Animals" by Saint-Saëns, with choreography by the EleinaD Dance Company.
  • August 31, 9:00 PM — Town Hall Cloister: Concert by the Sextet Quartet and presentation of the "L'arte nelle tue mani" award to young Apulian musicians.
  • September 4 — International section evening with soloists from abroad.
  • September 7, 9:00 PM — Teatro Giovanni Laterza: Closing concert featuring Dvořák's Piano Trio No. 4 "Dumky" Op. 90 and Weber's Clarinet Quintet Op. 34.
