Edition 2025 — Ox Race
The 789th Caresana Ox Race took place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, confirming its status as one of the most cherished and deep-rooted events in the Bassa Vercellese.
The day began at 9:00 AM with the arrival of the Santhià marching band and a visit to the retirement home, followed at 10:30 AM by the solemn procession with the Saint's statue toward the church of Saint George. At 11:00 AM, Holy Mass was held with the blessing of the bread, and at noon, the 789th Ox Race took place along Corso Roma. At 1:00 PM, the Saint George's lunch was held in Piazza Virginio Bussi, while in the afternoon, games, entertainment, and a DJ set enlivened Corso Italia. A celebration that blends faith, tradition, and community, evoking the ancient vow of 1236.
