Carcoforo-Boffalora Friendship Pact

The friendship between Carcoforo and Boffalora sopra Ticino did not begin in 2026: it has its roots in 1981, when the Boffalora CAI section took over the management of the "Paolo Majerna" Mountain Hut in Val d'Egua. Throughout 2025, this bond continued to manifest in shared activities between the two communities, in the commitment of volunteers at the hut, and in moments of encounter between the Lombard plains and the Walser village of Valsesia.

As the mayor of Boffalora recalled, the Pact initiative "did not invent anything, but wanted to recognize and enhance something that has already existed for many years." The edition preceding the signing is therefore part of a long history, made of mutual esteem, climbs to the Colle d'Egua, and friendships built over time, in the heart of the Province of Vercelli.
