Edition 2025 — Carcaricola Carnival
The 2025 Carnival in Piazza di Carcaricola
On Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Piazza di Carcaricola hosted the neighborhood Carnival festival of Tor Vergata, in Municipio VI delle Torri. The city of Rome had ordered the closure of the square to traffic from Via Giovanni Caproni to Via Giuseppe Borsalino for the entire duration of the event.
The traffic measure involved the diversion of bus line 046 to Via della Sorbona and line 047 to Via del Fontanile di Carcaricola, with the temporary deactivation of four stops. It was an afternoon of local festivities, free and open to all, in line with other neighborhood carnivals that enlivened Municipio VI that same weekend, starting with the masked parade in Finocchio along Via Fontana Candida, Via Casilina, and Via di Rocca Cencia.
The 2025 edition thus confirmed itself as one of the most well-attended collective winter events for families in Rome's eastern suburbs.
