Edition 2025 — Carbon Carpet

Carbon Carpet debuted on October 3 and 4, 2025, as part of RiscArti, the international festival of artistic recycling, now in its twelfth edition, held in the spaces of the former Vaccheria in the EUR district of Rome. The project presented itself to the public with a selection of artworks, design objects, and accessories made with innovative materials and sustainable production methods, accompanied by two meetings dedicated to circular fashion and the responsible textile supply chain.

The debut of Carbon Carpet in 2025

Before becoming an independent event, Carbon Carpet made a name for itself in Rome as a guest project of RiscArti — International Festival of Artistic Recycling, in its twelfth edition, in the setting of the former Vaccheria in the EUR district, where the exhibition remained on display from September 19 to October 5, 2025.

On October 3, at 5:30 PM, the project was presented during the Conscious Fashion Collective talk; on October 4, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the round table "From field to wardrobe" was held, featuring designers and supporters of sustainable fashion. On that occasion, the collaboration with a national association supporting Gaza through a social tailoring project was also announced.

Behind the initiative, even then, were Rita Salimbeni as project manager and communications manager, Vittoria Santilli as scientific curator, and Massenzio Arte as artistic curator, with the involvement of creative designer Francesco Luna and artistic director Alessandro d'Ercole. From that general rehearsal, the path was born that led the festival to Villa Altieri in 2026.
