Caravel Cup

The 2025 debut

The first edition of the Caravel Cup was held from November 19 to 23, 2025, in the hall of the Hotel Caravel on Via Cristoforo Colombo in Rome. Sixty players from fifteen nations arrived at the board, a debut that confirmed international interest in a residential format still rare in Central Italy.

A city-supported event

The event, promoted and organized by DPM SRLS, received the patronage of the departments for Major Events and Sport, Tourism, and Fashion of Roma Capitale, as well as the support of Confesercenti Rome and Lazio and Assoturismo Roma. The presentation was attended by, among others, Councilor Alessandro Onorato, Tourism Commission President Mariano Angelucci, and Municipio VIII President Amedeo Ciaccheri.

The circuit's foundation

Already during the debut, creator Matteo Sampieri announced the intention to provide continuity to the event with two Roman legs per year, indicating spring 2026 as the window for the next appointment: a promise kept with the June 2026 edition.
