Edition 2025 — Capranica Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Capranica Carnival enlivened the historic center with two major parades on Sunday, February 23, and Sunday, March 2. Among the floats and masquerade groups, there was no shortage of imaginative themes, from the atmosphere of Rio de Janeiro to Bavarian outfits, and even dinosaurs and costumes inspired by animated cinema. Mayor Pietro Nocchi also paraded in costume, while the Pro Loco distributed hot dishes, frappe, and castagnole in Piazza San Francesco.

The 2025 Capranica Carnival brought color and joy to the historic center of the Viterbo village with two festive Sundays, February 23 and March 2, leading up to Shrove Tuesday. The town streets were filled with masquerade groups and engaging music, featuring floats and costumes with diverse themes: from the vibes of Rio de Janeiro to Bavarian costumes, and from dinosaurs to masks inspired by the world of animation.

Setting a good example, Mayor Pietro Nocchi himself paraded in costume among the citizens. True to the appointment, the Pro Loco Capranica distributed traditional carnival dishes and sweets in Piazza San Francesco, from penne with spicy sauce to frappe and castagnole, confirming the Carnival as one of the most popular festivals in Tuscia.
