Cao de Ano – Veneto New Year

In 2025, Cao de Ano – Veneto New Year renewed in Jesolo the re-enactment of the ancient New Year of the Serenissima, when the new year began on March 1st. Between late February and early March, conferences and historical insights were held at the Civic Library and the Vivaldi Theatre, the regatta on the Sile river and the costume parade in Piazza Primo Maggio with the Doge and Caterina Cornaro, the dancing fountains show, and the theatrical performance dedicated to Casanova. The festival, with free admission, confirmed Jesolo's commitment to enhancing its Venetian identity outside the summer season.
