Edition 2025 — Cantico
The fifth edition of the Cantico Festival took place from July 4 to 6, 2025, in the medieval village of Casperia, in the province of Rieti, Lazio. Conceived and curated by Anna Redi, the festival offered three days of theatre, music, and dance dedicated to the world's most beautiful philosophical stories and legends.
Key highlights included the solo violin concert "Canti del silenzio" with Maestro Marcello Fera, the workshop on fragility "Luminoso fragile" led by Mario Biagini and the Accademia dell'Incompiuto, and the revival of Pina Bausch's famous "Nelken Line". Sunday morning was dedicated to wellness practices such as shinrin yoku and breath work. This edition, supported by the Municipality of Casperia and the Fondazione Varrone, focused on sustainability, with performances enjoyed in natural light and the acoustics of the village spaces.
