Edition 2025 — Cantè J'euv

In 2025, the Pocapaglia Pro Loco once again kept the Cantè J'euv tradition alive, the typical spring egg-begging of the Roero. Singers traveled through the village and homes, performing ancient verses accompanied by the accordion, while also participating in collective events that bring together the local Pro Loco associations in a great moment of popular celebration.

In 2025, the Cantè J'euv of Pocapaglia confirmed the vitality of one of the most beloved spring traditions in the Roero, in the Province of Cuneo. The Pocapaglia Pro Loco revived the egg-begging, with singers going from house to house performing ritual verses accompanied by the accordion, following a custom rooted in the peasant civilization of lower Piedmont.

The edition was part of the Roero Cantè J'euv event calendar, which every spring involves numerous Pro Loco associations and local groups in evenings of song, folk music, and tastings of typical products, renewing a convivial ritual that marks the community's awakening after winter.
