The 43rd edition of Cantamaggio

In 2025, the Cantamaggio of Morro d'Alba celebrated its 43rd edition, taking place on May 16, 17, and 18, with a final event on May 31. The highlight was Sunday, May 18, when all the spontaneous participating groups performed, according to the ancient ritual, the 'questua' song going from house to house throughout the morning, covering all the hamlets of the village in the province of Ancona.

Concert and May Tree procession

At noon, in Piazza Barcaroli, a concert was held with the folk choir "Canta che ti passa" from Fano. In the afternoon, at 5:00 PM, the Procession of the May Tree began: the tree, decorated with multi-colored flowers and ribbons by the local schoolchildren, was carried by the village youth accompanied by a festive procession of folk singers and musicians. The festival concluded on May 31, from 10:00 PM to midnight, with the ritual burning of the May Tree.
