Edition 2025 — Cantamaggio Itinerante

In 2025, the Cantamaggio Itinerante held its second edition, hosted in Campagnatico, in the province of Grosseto. On that occasion, Maremma maggerini groups animated the town with May songs, confirming the traveling nature of the event conceived by the Auser of Scansano to rediscover and pass on the local folk traditions.

The second edition of the Cantamaggio Itinerante took place in 2025 in Campagnatico, the second village in the Tuscan Maremma to host the event after Magliano in Toscana. On this occasion, the maggerini groups brought the 'canto del maggio', an ancient folk custom linked to the arrival of spring, through the streets of the town.

The traveling formula, which moves the festival to a different municipality in the region each year, thus continued its journey, in anticipation of the next stop in Scansano. The initiative, promoted by the Auser of Scansano, confirmed its role as a moment of gathering and enhancement of the traditions of the Grosseto Maremma.
