Canicattini Jazz Festival

The 31st edition of the Canicattini Jazz Festival was held from August 29 to 31, 2025, in Piazza XX Settembre in Canicattini Bagni (Syracuse), with performances starting at 9:30 PM. The festival, directed by saxophonist Rino Cirinnà and promoted by the municipal administration with the patronage of the Sicilian Region, confirmed its international appeal.

Friday, August 29, the opening was entrusted to Francesco Rubino (guitar) and Tommaso Genovesi (saxophone) with the "Encounters" project, followed by the historic Amato Jazz Trio — the local brothers Elio, Alberto, and Loris Amato. Saturday, August 30, featured "Mizzica… questo è Jazz", a show combining theatre and music with actor Andrea Tidona and the Rino Cirinnà Jazz Band. Sunday, August 31, saw the grand finale with Javier Girotto & Aires Tango. The three evenings drew a large crowd of enthusiasts to the square.
