Candlemas Festival — Purification of Mary

The Candlemas Festival in Braone (BS) is the patronal feast dedicated to Saint Mary of Purification, celebrated every year at the beginning of February in Valle Camonica. The 2025 edition took place from January 31 to February 2: on January 31, the choral concert "Maria della Luce" by Voci dalla Rocca, on Saturday the Candlemas dinner with spit-roasted meat, and on Sunday, February 2nd, afternoon stalls, the solemn mass at 5:30 PM, and the procession with the statue of the Madonna.

Organized by the Pro Loco of Braone with the Municipality, the parish, and the Alpini Group, the festival once again in 2025 confirmed its role as an identity event for the community of the Camunian village.
