Canastrel Festival

The 33rd Canastrel Festival of Montanaro took place from May 30 to June 1, 2025, in Piazza Donatori di Sangue, from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM, with free admission and entirely under cover to ensure the celebration continued even in case of bad weather.

The star was the Montanaro canestrello, offered in several variations including cocoa, according to the original recipe passed down for generations. Alongside Piedmontese cuisine, Sunday, June 1, featured the cultural walk "In the Montanaro Baroque" (4:30 PM - 7:00 PM), a dinner with paella and traditional dishes (7:30 PM, by reservation), and an evening with the Loris Gallo Orchestra and the election of Miss and Mister Canastrel. The funfair remained open for the entire duration of the festival, from May 23 to June 8.
