Edition 2025 — Cammino di San Domenico Abate

In 2025, the Cammino di San Domenico Abate once again renewed the tradition of the pilgrimage between Villalago, Anversa degli Abruzzi, and Cocullo, in the Sagittario Gorges. Departing from Villalago at 8:30 AM, with a packed lunch stop at 1:30 PM and arrival in Cocullo at 5:30 PM, the walkers tackled a mountain route in preparation for the Feast of Saint Dominic the Abbot and the Snake Handlers' Rite on May 1st.

The 2025 edition of the Cammino di San Domenico Abate took place on April 30, 2025, once again uniting faith, nature, and tradition along the route from Villalago to Anversa degli Abruzzi and on to Cocullo, in the province of L'Aquila.

The walk departed from Villalago at 8:30 AM, with a packed lunch stop around 1:30 PM and arrival in Cocullo at 5:30 PM, crossing the Sagittario Gorges and the ancient villages of the Peligna Valley. The pilgrimage prepared participants for the Feast of Saint Dominic the Abbot and the Snake Handlers' Rite celebrated in Cocullo on May 1st.
