Edition 2025 — Caltavuturo Folklore Festival
The 28th edition of the Caltavuturo International Folklore Festival was held from August 13 to 16, 2025, with performances every evening at 10:00 PM at the Teatro Falcone e Borsellino, in the heart of the Madonie village in the province of Palermo.
Four evenings of entertainment featured folk groups from five different countries: Colombia, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, and Serbia. Each delegation brought to the stage the dances, music, and characteristic traditional costumes of their country in a succession of colors and cultures. The hosts, the Gruppo Folk Gazzara, guardians of the Ballo della Cordella and the folk traditions of the Madonie, represented Italy.
The event, part of the CIOFF Italy circuit, reaffirmed its role as an international showcase for folklore in the Sicilian summer calendar.
