Edition 2025 — Medieval Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Calenzano Medieval Carnival was held on Sunday, March 2, in the village of Calenzano Alto. The historical district pageant, which started from Piazza Vittorio Veneto towards the Castle, enlivened the day along with the challenge for the Golden Tower, medieval games, and the burning of the Carnival King at the end of the festival.

On Sunday, March 2, 2025, the village of Calenzano Alto hosted the 2025 edition of the Medieval Carnival, promoted by the Municipality of Calenzano and organized by the Tourist Association. The event began at 2:00 PM in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, with the mayor's greeting and the departure of the historical pageant of the Calenzano districts towards the Castle, accompanied by the flag-bearers and musicians of Valmarina. In Piazza San Niccolò, at 3:30 PM, the district parade took place with public voting and games to award the Golden Tower and the Torrino, along with Tuscan fairy tale readings, wooden medieval games for children, guided tours of the Tower, and free sword-fighting trials. At 6:00 PM, the day concluded with the burning of the Carnival King.
