Calcio Storico Fiorentino

In 2025, the Calcio Storico Fiorentino once again drew enthusiasts and visitors to Florence from all over Tuscany and beyond. The semi-finals determined the finalists Rossi (Santa Maria Novella) and Verdi (San Giovanni), who faced off in the highly anticipated final on June 24th in Piazza Santa Croce, on the feast day of the patron saint, John the Baptist. As every year, the event was preceded by the Historical Pageant of the Florentine Republic, with hundreds of participants in Renaissance costumes, and was part of the major city celebrations that culminated with fireworks over the Arno.
