Calascio Innovation Playground

First edition: October 1-5, 2025

The first edition of the Calascio Innovation Playground was held from October 1 to 5, 2025, in the village of Calascio, in the province of L'Aquila. Conceived by the Giffoni Innovation Hub and supported by the Municipality as part of the PNRR project "Rocca Calascio – Luce d'Abruzzo," the event involved over 500 young people.

The first few days were dedicated to high school students, while on the weekend, activities were opened to university students, under-35s, visitors, and enthusiasts, with free and inclusive proposals. At the center of the program was experiential tourism transformed into gaming, storytelling, and regeneration: workshops, storytelling, and immersive formats designed to make the territory experienced in a new way. As stated by the administration, the goal was to transform the town into a space for experimentation on the future of inland areas, combining innovation and tradition.
