Edition 2025 — Calascio Film Fest
2025 Edition: the festival's first time
From 9 to 13 September 2025, Calascio hosted the first edition of the Calascio Film Fest – Cine Regeneration, created as a laboratory for storytelling and territorial enhancement. Students from the IFA film school in Pescara created an audiovisual product in residence, while twelve young screenwriters under 35 participated in theoretical and practical workshops led by director Antonio Falduto, with teachers such as Mimmo Calopresti and Flavio Natalia from Ciak, culminating in a public pitch of their stories.
The section dedicated to short films, curated by the Sulmona International Film Festival, presented national and international shorts linked to cultural and social regeneration. The three evenings of feature films featured Un Paese Quasi Perfetto, Vermiglio, and L'Abbuffata, accompanied by debates and masterclasses.
