Calandra National Theatre Award

XIX edition 2025

The nineteenth edition of the Calandra Award was held from 17 July to 12 August 2025, confirming the travelling format across the towns of Muro Leccese, Collepasso, and Tuglie. All performances took place at 9:00 PM with free admission.

• 17 July - Muro Leccese, Piazza del Popolo: Il berretto a sonagli by Pirandello, with the Luna Nova company from Latina.
• 30 July - Collepasso, Palazzo Baronale: Frichigno, with the Piccola Compagnia Impertinente from Foggia.
• 5 August - Tuglie, Piazza Garibaldi: Tre papà e un bebè, with the Quanta Brava Gente company from Taranto.
• 12 August - Collepasso, Palazzo Baronale: Tutto Shakespeare minuto per minuto, with the Cercamond company from Naples, followed by the awards ceremony.

The festival, organised by the Compagnia Teatrale Culturale Calandra with the patronage of the Municipalities of Tuglie, Collepasso, and Muro Leccese and the Italian Federation of Amateur Theatre, concluded with the awarding of prizes by the technical jury.
