Edition 2025 — Cadet World Championship

The 2025 edition of the Cadet World Championship was held from August 3 to 9 on Lake Lipno, in the Czech Republic, as part of the Festival of Sails. The world title was won by the Ukrainian crew of Uliana Postrelko and Katerina Butenko, the first all-female crew to win the Cadet World Championship in the class's 78-year history.

Cadet World Championship 2025 - Lake Lipno

Before arriving in Torbole in 2026, the Cadet World Championship took place in 2025 on Lake Lipno, in the Czech Republic, from August 3 to 9, as part of the Festival of Sails program. The competition brought together young crews from all over the world.

The winners were the Ukrainian crew of Uliana Postrelko and Katerina Butenko, who made history by becoming the first all-female crew to win the Cadet world title in over 78 years of the class's history. The podium featured three different nations: Ukraine, Great Britain, and Australia, confirming the deeply international character of this youth class, which chose the Upper Garda in Trentino as its world championship venue for 2026.
