Edition 2025 — Buti Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Buti Carnival animated Piazza Garibaldi with the Youth Carnival, parades of allegorical floats, and a small train for the little ones. Highlights included a dance school performance, the satirical Shrove Thursday event, and, on Shrove Tuesday, the traditional Farewell to Carnival with the burning of the 'Gigi' effigy and the 'Masks in Freedom' evening with prizes for the best costumes.

Buti Carnival 2025

The 2025 edition confirmed the traditional structure of the Buti Carnival. The Youth Carnival opened the festive days at 2:30 PM in Piazza Garibaldi, with a small train and allegorical floats parading through the town streets. Events also included a performance by a local dance school and the satirical Shrove Thursday appointment in the central square.

Shrove Tuesday featured the ritual of Burning Gigi, with the burning of the papier-mâché puppet to bid farewell to the Carnival, followed by the Masks in Freedom evening, with a costume parade for adults and children and prizes for the most beautiful couple, the largest group, and the most original individual mask.
