Edition 2025 — Burgraviato Palio

The 12th edition of the Burgraviato Palio took place on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the Merano Racecourse, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The 26 municipalities of the district competed in thoroughbred and Haflinger horse races, with jockeys in their respective town colors, in a day of folklore, gastronomy, and live music that closed the Merano summer.

12th Burgraviato Palio — August 31, 2025

The twelfth edition of the Burgraviato Palio was held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the Merano Racecourse. As every year, the last Sunday of August brought together the 26 municipalities of the Burgraviato for the customary challenge between thoroughbreds and Haflinger horses.

After the Friday draw, the municipalities paired with the horses faced off in elimination races, with jockeys in the colorful jackets of their respective towns. The barrel race was also featured, along with a wide range of food options, bars, ice cream, live music, and pony rides for children. Admission remained free for residents of the Burgraviato municipalities, confirming the community spirit of the festival.
